IMAGINATION AT WORK

Story Via @motherhoodandmeals

Today was a day for just the two of us. We spent the morning at the park and for a long part of that we played with pine cones. Rhett picked one up and asked what it was. I explained and then he wanted to find more.

For a while we played catch and soccer with them. Then he stopped and became very particular about which ones he would pick up. After he found the perfect three he declared that they were baby birdies that wanted him to sing to them. Looking at this I can hear his sweet voice singing "twinkle twinkle little star". Then he eventually picked his favorite one and asked to take it to the library to read some books, so that is what we did. With a quick stop at Starbucks along the way.

I am truly in awe of the imagination that children have when we let them lead the way. He teaches me each day how amazing our world is and how special each child's mind is!!!
